Welcome to Unplugging

Why I started this, and what you’ll find here

Hi, I’m Miguel — and I made Unplugging for people like me. People who don’t necessarily want to quit technology, but are tired of feeling like it’s using us more than we’re using it.

I work on a laptop all day. I like my phone. I love the internet (sometimes too much). But I’ve also felt that familiar weight: endless scrolling, scattered focus, a brain that never quite switches off.

So I started Unplugging — not as a rebellion against tech, but as a reminder that we can have a different relationship with it. One with more space. More clarity. More choice.

What to expect here

Each week, I’ll share a short, simple newsletter with three repeating parts:

  • 🌀 The Weekly Reset – One small digital detox technique to try.

  • 🔗 Signal vs. Noise – One curated link or thought worth your attention.

  • 🌿 A Moment Offline – A short reflection, prompt, or personal pause.

You’ll also find extra posts on this site — not part of the weekly newsletter, but here if you want to explore more. Things like:

  • What a digital detox really means.

  • Tips for screen-free mornings.

  • Free lock screens to keep you mindful.

Who is this for

If you’ve ever:

  • Picked up your phone without knowing why.

  • Felt overstimulated by the sheer volume of everything.

  • Wanted a bit of quiet — not silence, just less...

...then you’re in the right place.

This isn’t about becoming a minimalist monk. It’s about noticing. Adjusting. Unplugging just enough to feel more like yourself again.

Thanks for being here. You’re not late. You’re not behind. You’re just in exactly the right place to begin.

See you in your inbox,
Miguel – Founder of Unplugging
